Diverse and rich destinations

The pioneer in organizing this inter-route tour is Dalat Discovery Travel Company. This unit has surveyed and expanded the inter-route tour, harmoniously combining the three elements of “Flowers - Forest - Blue Sea” and currently has a significant number of visitors every day, mainly foreigners or Vietnamese people living abroad who return to their homeland to experience and explore.

Mr. Ngo Anh Tuan - Founder of the company said that the merger of the 3 provinces helps the company to be bolder and more convenient in building this tour. The tour can start from anywhere according to the customer's request and can pick up customers from Hoi An or Ho Chi Minh City, even Buon Ma Thuot. But regardless of the pick-up location, the company's main tour is to arrange the most convenient and safest route for customers to explore the culture, landscape, and life in the 3 newly merged lands.

Foreign visitors on this route often like to experience flower farms, cricket farms, silkworm farms - silk weaving, Abrabica coffee farms and processing, fruit gardens, pagodas or unique architectural works with strong European influences. Or explore Ta Dung Lake, Dak R'mang market, cocoa gardens, cashew gardens, pepper gardens, Nam Ka hydroelectric dam, Dam Sen ... then return to the blue sea, white sand and golden sunshine.

“Foreign tourists often just like to wander around and explore the culture and life of the rural people in the Central Highlands. During the day, they often just like to wander on the roads, visit villages, gardens, visit lakes, dams or majestic but untouched waterfalls,” said Mr. Ngo Anh Tuan.

The family of Mr. and Mrs. Paziit Fainaru (Israel) including 2 couples and 4 children, shared: “I had a wonderful trip by motorbike and the very friendly and professional local tour guides to explore Lam Dong . I was very impressed with the diverse ethnic culture, the beauty of the majestic nature with both mountains and sea”.

Mr. and Mrs. Moshik's family from the US said that they experienced an inter-regional tour from Ta Dung to the flower city and then to Mui Ne beach by mountain bike. "We visited the Dak R'mang market of ethnic minorities near Ta Dung, which was very interesting, bathed in Ponggour waterfall, and went to the tropical beach which was extremely beautiful and warm in the middle of summer. This trip gave us memorable experiences and my family also learned a lot about regional culture, people and the lives of ethnic groups in Vietnam."

Need more high-end travel services

Mr. Ngo Anh Tuan also said: “Foreign tourists on this tour are very willing to spend, on average about 250 USD/day. They like to wander around and explore places with rich local culture, but they have very high-class service requirements. Food must be clean and hygienic; hotels must be 4-5 stars, quiet, clean, luxurious and safe,” said Mr. Ngo Anh Tuan.

In addition to Dalat Discovery, currently, there are some companies that have also started to organize tours connecting cultural and experiential sites in the province. However, in addition to the favorable factors of a multi-ethnic, ecologically diverse land with mountains, borders and seas; these tours and routes are currently facing some challenges.

To address these challenges, Lam Dong province needs to have a sustainable development strategy, focusing on improving service quality, especially having more high-end hotels. The current roads are also very poor, the National Highway 28 connecting the three regions is currently very narrow, which is a big challenge and obstacle for inter-regional tourism activities. In addition, attention should be paid to environmental protection, preserving and promoting indigenous ethnic cultures.

Inter-route tourism to explore the land of convergence of “Flowers - Forests - Blue Seas” is a potential development direction of Lam Dong tourism industry. With the rapid participation of local travel companies, it is expected that Lam Dong will become an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists in the near future.
