On June 25, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a notice on the office locations of 126 communes and wards after the rearrangement.
According to the administrative unit arrangement plan, Hanoi will have only 126 communes and wards, reducing 400 commune-level administrative units.
Previously, the Hanoi Department of Finance said that after the reorganization, the city will allocate 232 houses and land to serve as headquarters for 126 communes and wards. The announcement of the list of new headquarters locations will help people and organizations understand and serve the settlement of administrative procedures from July 1.

According to Hanoi's plan, at 8:30 a.m. on June 30, the city will hold a ceremony to announce the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee and the city's decisions on implementing the organization of commune-level administrative units at 20 locations.
The ceremony will announce the decision to end the activities of 30 Party Committees of districts, towns and cities under the Hanoi Party Committee; the decision to establish Party Committees of communes and wards under the City Party Committee; the decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and personnel of the Party Committees at the commune level.
The ceremony also announced the resolution appointing the chairman, vice chairman, head of the People's Council, chairman and vice chairman of the People's Committee at the commune level; the decision of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City to establish the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the commune level.
