But during Trump's victory speech to the excited crowd, the attention was not only on him but also on his son Barron Trump. Many people were shocked because the boy had become much taller than before.
Of the five children who appeared next to Trump when he delivered his victory speech, 18-year-old Barron stood out for his height and size. Specifically, Barron is over 2m tall. Trump has spoken publicly about Barron's height during his presidential campaign. Speaking at the Iowa Republican caucuses in January, he mentioned Barron's height when talking about his mother-in-law Amalija Knavs, who died earlier that month.
"My mother took great care of Barron," Trump said. "That's why he's so tall. He only eats my mother's cooking. I told him he's going to be a basketball player. But he said he'd rather play football. I think he's better suited to basketball with his height. But you can't convince your kids to do what you want."
Trump said that Amalija and her husband were "wonderful parents," not only to him and his wife, but also to Barron.

Barron Trump is the youngest son of Trump and his wife, Melania Trump. Born on March 20, 2006, Barron is Donald Trump's only child with Melania and shares many of his Slovenian-born mother's features.
