In 2017, after graduating from high school, Vu Van Nam registered and was admitted to Hanoi University of Science and Technology. However, due to his family's difficult economic situation, after 3 years, Nam stopped studying to work to help his family.

But, stopping studying does not mean stopping the dream, in 2021 Nam registered for admission to the high-quality Mechatronics major K57, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Thai Nguyen University of Industry. And then, right in Thai Nguyen, Vu Van Nam had an impressive learning journey.

During his 4 years of study, Vu Van Nam has received 9 scholarships to encourage learning, 8 of which were excellent. This achievement not only shows his rapid breakthrough but also shows the remarkable perseverance in studying of this student from Ninh Binh .

During his studies, Nam always thought, researched, and studied many scientific topics and actively participated in competitions launched by the faculty and school. Thanks to that, Vu Van Nam's academic achievements did not stop at numbers but became a great "racer" in the arenas, conquering a series of impressive awards.

For example: In 2022, Nam won the second prize in the multiple-choice test and the second prize in the exercise test in the 24th National Physics Olympiad for Students. In 2023, Nam won the third prize in the experimental test in the 25th National Physics Olympiad for Students. In 2024, Nam won the Encouragement Prize in the Euréka 2024 Student Scientific Research Competition in the field of Physics - a large-scale and prestigious playground. Most recently, in 2025, Nam won the third prize in the machine principle test in the 35th National Mechanics Olympiad.

In addition to the awards, Vu Van Nam was also recognized as a 5-Good Student at the Thai Nguyen provincial level in 2023; a 5-Good Student at the Central level in 2024. For two consecutive years (2024, 2025), he was awarded the title of Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings at Thai Nguyen University.

Sharing about his achievements in studying, Nam said: Participating in competitions helped me meet many excellent friends and learn humility. Those experiences helped me grow up a lot.

Not only is he an excellent student, Vu Van Nam is also a person who inspires the whole class in studying.

Mr. Hoang Van Duc, Class President of High Quality Mechatronics Class K57, commented: Nam often proactively guides and answers questions about homework for his classmates, especially difficult subjects. Nam's enthusiasm and dynamism have greatly improved the class's learning spirit, and extracurricular activities have become much more exciting.

And teacher Le Thi Thu Thuy, Deputy Head of the Mechatronics Department, shared with pride about Nam: Nam is always proactive, has a progressive spirit, and constantly strives to develop himself. The awards Nam has achieved are clear evidence of his persistent and hard-working efforts.

With impressive academic achievements, Vu Van Nam is not only the pride of Thai Nguyen University of Industry, but also an inspiration for the young generation to dare to commit and create the future, and take control of their lives.
