Ambassador Bui Le Thai visited and worked in Gyor city to promote local cooperation between Vietnam and Hungary

Ambassador Bui Le Thai shared the potential for cooperation between Vietnamese localities and the city of Gyor, especially in areas of strength.

On June 5, within the framework of activities to strengthen cooperation between localities of Vietnam and Hungary, Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary Bui Le Thai visited and worked in the city of Győr - an important industrial,educational and cultural center in Western Hungary.

Receiving and working with Ambassador Bui Le Thai, the Mayor and leaders of Győr city government gave an overview of the city's socio -economic development situation, with outstanding strengths in the fields of automobile industry, high technology, university education, scientific research, sports, tourism and cultural heritage conservation.

Ambassador Bui Le Thai congratulated Győr on its dynamic development achievements and shared the potential for cooperation between Vietnamese localities and the city, especially in areas where the two sides have complementary strengths.

The Mayor and leaders of the Győr city government worked with Ambassador Bui Le Thai.

At the meeting, the two sides had an in-depth discussion on directions to promote cooperation in the coming time, especially strengthening connections between the business community, increasing the number of Vietnamese students and postgraduates studying at universities and research institutes in Győr city. The two sides also discussed the possibility of receiving highly skilled Vietnamese workers in the field of assembly and production of auto parts, expanding cultural, sports and tourism exchanges, as well as studying the possibility of establishing a twinning relationship between Győr and a suitable locality in Vietnam.

The visit and working session of Ambassador Bui Le Thai in Győr contributed to promoting practical cooperation between localities of the two countries, making practical contributions to deepening the Vietnam-Hungary Comprehensive Partnership.
