Da Nang: People's Committees of communes and wards will recruit workers for digital transformation and information technology

On August 27, the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City announced that it had issued instructions on a number of contents related to recruiting labor contracts to do digital transformation work and apply information technology in communes and wards.

Accordingly, candidates for recruitment must meet the following conditions: have a college degree or higher in the fields of informatics, information technology, electronics and telecommunications; have knowledge and skills that meet the requirements of the job position; in case of having other professional qualifications, they must have participated in digital transformation, information technology application, or participated in the management and operation of smart monitoring centers...

Some priorities include: priority for those with experience working in digital transformation and information technology application; priority for personnel living or residing in the recruiting commune or ward; priority for ethnic minorities in communes and wards in mountainous and island areas... At the same time, the document clearly states that those who are relatives of the person with the authority to sign the contract are not allowed to register for the recruitment.

To ensure flexibility and convenience in recruitment, the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City has agreed on the plan to assign the People's Committees of communes and wards according to the management hierarchy and the needs of the agency to organize recruitment. If necessary, invite representatives of the Department to participate in the recruitment council. The Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City will provide training and education on relevant knowledge and skills, ensuring that personnel can immediately perform tasks according to job requirements.

Previously, Chairman of the City People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet signed Official Dispatch No. 457/UBND-SNV, assigning the Department of Science and Technology to preside over the development of criteria and standards for labor contracts or service contracts at communes and wards; participate in the contract recruitment process and provide initial training and coaching.

The Department of Home Affairs regularly reviews the current situation and needs for IT personnel in communes and wards. Monitors and guides the implementation of labor contracts and policies according to regulations.

The policy regime for contract employees is similar to that of civil servants and enjoys the support level for those working full-time in digital transformation, network information security, and network security (5 million VND/month).
