Create a useful training playground

The cutting and pasting contest with the theme “New Era” recently organized by the Phan Rang Ward Summer Activities Steering Committee attracted the participation of local youth union members and teenagers. The young people were divided into 8 teams, came up with ideas, drew and cut and pasted pictures expressing their thoughts and wishes for a “new era”. With skillful hands and rich imagination, the teams created impressive pictures for the judges and viewers. The contest aims to help local youth union members and teenagers have more playgrounds, practice teamwork skills, and express their views on the future. From there, fostering the spirit and responsibility towards the community and society.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thao - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, concurrently Secretary of the Phan Rang Ward Youth Union, said that in addition to the above competition, in the first week of July, the Ward's Summer Activities Steering Committee organized for union members and young people to participate in games such as: Morse skills, secret letters, small games to evaluate the competition between teams; organized activities to clean the Martyrs' Monument of the ward. In addition to the weekly Sunday morning activities, the Phan Rang Ward Summer Activities Steering Committee divided more than 400 union members and young people participating in summer activities in the locality into 8 teams to practice art performances, fashion shows, folk dances... to participate in the Summer Festival scheduled to be held in early August.

In Ninh Chu ward, the summer activities are also being implemented by the ward Youth Union with many practical and meaningful activities every Sunday morning and are expected to last until August 15. Mr. Doan Do Hoang Nam - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, concurrently Secretary of the Ninh Chu ward Youth Union, said that this year's summer activities have been implemented by the ward Youth Union since the beginning of July. Up to now, many concentrated activities have been organized with many contents such as: Collective games to practice solidarity, dexterity and team spirit; group activities; launching a campaign to clean up the marine environment; propagating to raise awareness of environmental protection for union members, youth, people and tourists... To create a competitive atmosphere in implementing summer activities, the ward Youth Union will commend and reward enthusiastic and active union members and youth on the occasion of summarizing the 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.

In many other communes and wards in the province, the organization of summer activities for young people is also carried out by the Youth Union organizations to create a place for members and young people to participate in useful activities and training. Ensure activities are organized practically

Ms. Huynh Thi Nhu Y - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Head of the Youth Union and Children's Affairs Department of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Provincial Committee said that summer activities in the locality are one of the annual activities for teenagers and children to participate in with the purpose of connecting the community, creating a useful playground for training, and are responded to by many teenagers and parents. After the apparatus of the commune and ward unions was reorganized, from the beginning of July, many establishments immediately deployed for teenagers to participate in summer activities; some localities have not been able to deploy in time because they have focused their forces on supporting the settlement of administrative procedures, and are planning to organize activities for teenagers in the near future.

Youth Union members and teenagers participating in summer activities of Ninh Chu ward launched an environmental sanitation campaign.

At the provincial level, to create a playground for young people this summer, the Provincial Youth Union continues to organize the Military Semester program with the theme "We are air force soldiers". Taking place from July 17 to 23, the program attracted 93 students from 9 to 17 years old to participate. Here, the children experienced and practiced many skills and knowledge necessary for life such as: Arranging internal order; increasing production; physical exercise; building good daily habits; applying artificial intelligence (AI) to learning English; first aid, wound dressing; basic drowning rescue techniques; the topic "Parents understand their children - Children understand their parents"...

In addition, implementing the directive of the Provincial People's Committee on organizing summer activities for young people in 2025, the Provincial Youth Union has deployed to the commune and ward unions on organizing age-appropriate recreational activities for young people; launching a movement to practice skills, especially skills in preventing and combating accidents, drowning, and child abuse; promoting the role and improving the quality of taking charge of young people, students and pupils during the summer through volunteer activities... "Currently, the Provincial Youth Union continues to monitor, urge and guide the implementation of summer activities in localities, ensuring that activities are organized practically and usefully for young people" - Ms. Y said.
