Present at the multi-purpose gymnasium of Khanh Hoa University, we felt the heat from the Robocon Creative Competition recently organized by the Provincial Youth Union. At the two robocon competition grounds, there were exciting competitions between the teams; each match lasted 2 minutes and 30 seconds. In the first 30 seconds, the teams activated the robots to operate according to the programming; in the next 2 minutes, the team members controlled the robots to collect spheres and cubes and put them into the goal to score points.

At first glance, it seems simple, but to put the items into the goal frame as desired, the teams encountered many difficulties. Nguyen Tan Dung, a team member from Lam Son Secondary School (Nha Trang City) said that participating in the competition, programming and assembling the robot was difficult, but controlling the robot accurately was even more difficult. Dung and the team members had to work very hard to control the robot to accurately pick up the square blocks. "Previously, I participated in the robocon competition organized by Nha Trang City Youth Union. When we learned about the competition organized by the Provincial Youth Union, the team immediately registered. To assemble a complete robot, we had to train several times, then spend our spare time researching and assembling together," Dung shared.

This is the first time the robocon playground has been organized by the Provincial Youth Union, gathering 42 teams with 160 contestants and coaches from secondary schools, high schools and universities in the province to participate. In each student and university group, with equipment provided by the organizing committee, the teams demonstrated their ingenuity in assembling and programming their robots. In the competition, the teams competed by controlling robots to collect items and put them into the goal to score points, bringing dramatic and surprising matches.

Participating in the competition for the first time, Truong Dan Huy - a third-year student of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics, Nha Trang University, was very excited. With the major he studied, assembling and programming robots was not difficult for Huy's team. However, they still had to fix the robot many times before it worked as expected. Huy said: "When competing in the actual competition, the team still encountered cases where the robot ran into obstacles, malfunctioned, and did not work as expected. This is a very useful competition, creating a playground for students to exchange and consolidate the knowledge they have learned."

Mr. Tran Anh Tuan - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union said that the first robocon competition organized by the Provincial Youth Union achieved positive results with many teams and contestants participating. The young people demonstrated their creativity, competitive spirit, and ability to apply technological knowledge into practice in an impressive way. The robot products were assembled, programmed, and operated to meet the competition requirements, demonstrating the abilities of young people in the fields of science - technology and digital transformation. The Robocon Creative Competition is not only an intellectual playground but also an environment to practice teamwork skills, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills for young people in the 4.0 technology era.

The Organizing Committee awarded 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 2 third prizes, and 4 consolation prizes to the teams in each student category. The first prize in the student category went to TND 1 team, Tran Nhat Duat Secondary School (Nha Trang City); the first prize in the student category went to NTU Hound team, Nha Trang University.
