The project will be implemented over 30 months (from November 2022 to April 2025). The objective is to evaluate the safety, effectiveness and applicability of balloon cutting in the treatment of calcified coronary lesions - a complex type of lesion, commonly found in patients with severe cardiovascular disease; determine the rate of cardiovascular events 1 year after intervention using the above method.
The project leader reports the research results. |
The results of the study on 30 patients showed that the success and safety rate immediately after the procedure was 100%. After 1 year of follow-up, 93.3% of patients had no serious cardiovascular events. This method has proven to be safe and effective in treating calcified coronary lesions, with a low rate of events and good stent expansion; the combination of Scoring balloon cutting with IVUS/OCT intravascular imaging technology helps optimize treatment results and limit restenosis. From the above research results, it can be seen that the use of Scoring balloon cutting in calcified coronary intervention is a method that can be widely applied in clinical practice to improve treatment effectiveness for patients.
The acceptance council highly appreciated the practical application of the topic, considering it a new direction in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The topic was classified as successful.
