After 5 years of implementing Decision No. 1336/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister and Plan No. 23/KH-UBND of the Hanoi People's Committee on replicating the Intergenerational Self-Help Club (IGC) model, by 2025, the model has achieved many positive results, exceeding the set targets.

Up to now, the whole city has established 528 LTHTGN clubs with nearly 33,000 members. Hanoi ranks second nationwide in terms of quantity, just after Thanh Hoa province. The clubs not only develop strongly in quantity but also focus on the quality of activities, effectively organizing and implementing 8 areas of activities. Currently, there are more than 400 clubs with Income Increase Teams, with an average fund of 30-50 million VND; of which, 49 clubs have built a fund of more than 100 million VND; the clubs have coordinated to organize 4,237 periodic health check-ups for members.
At the conference, the City Elderly Association implemented 2 topics: "Promoting the position, role, prestige, and exemplary role of the elderly in the family and community, building "Elegant and civilized Hanoians" in 2025" and "Promoting the role of the elderly in implementing a civilized and progressive lifestyle in Hanoi in 2025". These are contents that clearly demonstrate the role, position, and social responsibility of the elderly in the new era.

Recognizing and praising the great contributions, responsible efforts, enthusiasm and creativity of the Hanoi Association of the Elderly at all levels in recent times, especially in implementing Project 1336/QD-TTg of the Government, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly Phan Van Hung suggested that the Hanoi Association of the Elderly at all levels should proactively coordinate with relevant departments and branches to advise the City People's Committee to develop a plan to implement the Project, when the Government has instructions for the next phase (2025-2030), ensuring timeliness and suitability with the actual situation of the Capital.
In addition, continue to consolidate and improve the Executive Board and improve the quality of activities of existing LTHTGN clubs; organize activities well in a practical and effective manner, gradually improving overall quality; promote communication work, raise awareness of authorities at all levels, the community and people about the role and practical benefits of the club model in sustainable development and adaptation to population aging; deploy and implement the Project in conjunction with implementing the goals of the National Strategy on the Elderly by 2035, with a vision to 2045...

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Elderly Association Nguyen The Toan said that currently, the City Elderly Association at all levels is promoting the patriotic emulation movement, while actively integrating the contents of the Project "Elderly people participate in promoting digital transformation, green transformation, entrepreneurship and job creation" and the Association's core tasks, in accordance with local practical conditions. In the coming time, the Association will continue to expand the model of the LTHTGN club, not only to meet the growing demand for care and promote the role of the elderly, but also to build a community of welfare, friendliness, and humanity, in line with the orientation of building a civilized, modern, and beautiful capital in the current period.
At the program, 20 groups and 14 individuals with achievements in implementing the Project received Certificates of Merit from the Central Association of the Elderly; 31 groups and 15 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the City Association of the Elderly.
