Former Bamboo Airways boss returns to the position of Deputy General Director

(Dan Tri) - Mr. Truong Phuong Thanh held the position of Deputy General Director of Bamboo Airways from 2019 to 2024. After leaving the airline for personal reasons, he suddenly returned to this position.

Bamboo Airways has just announced a resolution appointing Mr. Truong Phuong Thanh as Deputy General Director.

Mr. Truong Phuong Thanh has been with Bamboo Airways for a long time and held the role of Deputy General Director from 2019-2024, then left the airline. He is introduced to have many years of working and holding important positions at major aviation enterprises in Vietnam.

He held positions such as Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airport Ground Services Company (VIAGS), Director of Da Nang Ground Services Trading Enterprise (DIAGS), Director of Cambodia National Airlines Services, Head of Tan Son Nhat Ground Services Trading Enterprise Operations Center...

On the same day, Bamboo Airways also appointed many leadership positions such as Mr. Tran Minh Viet in charge of the Information Technology Department and Mr. Vu Minh Tuan in charge of the Finance - Accounting Department.

Recently, Bamboo Airways announced that Chairman Phan Dinh Tue has submitted his resignation. This will take effect immediately after the general meeting of shareholders approves the dismissal at the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders scheduled to take place on July 5.

Mr. Tue has held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bamboo Airways since February 2024. Previously, he joined the airline in June 2023 as a member of the Board of Directors, then as Permanent Vice Chairman.

Bamboo Airways also dismissed the members of the Board of Supervisors, including Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Cam, Mr. Pham Van Phung and Mr. Vu Minh Tuan. All three of them also submitted their resignations. Currently, Bamboo Airways' Board of Directors has 5 members, including Mr. Phan Dinh Tue, Le Thai Sam, Nguyen Ngoc Trong, Le Ba Nguyen and Ms. Le Thi Truc Quynh.
