Bau Duc’s son continues to register to buy a large amount of Hoang Anh Gia Lai JSC (HAG) shares. Previously, he successfully bought 27 million HAG shares through an agreement, coinciding with the time Bau Duc sold 25 million units.
Specifically, according to the announcement recorded on August 25 by the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE), Mr. Doan Hoang Nam registered to buy 25 million HAG shares, through agreement or order matching on the floor in the period from August 28 to September 12.
Mr. Doan Hoang Nam currently holds 27 million HAG shares, equivalent to 2.55%. These are the shares Mr. Nam successfully purchased on August 22 through an agreement.

Mr. Doan Hoang Nam is the son of Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc. Mr. Duc currently holds nearly 305 million HAG shares, equivalent to 28.84% of HAG's charter capital. During the period from August 18 to 22, Mr. Duc successfully sold 25 million HAG shares through negotiation.
Just 3 days after becoming a shareholder of HAGL, Mr. Nam continued to register to buy more shares. This move opens up the possibility that he will follow in his father's footsteps in managing the once-famous business from real estate, hydropower to agriculture .
The stock buying and selling moves of Bau Duc and his son took place in the context of HAG stock price being at its highest peak since 2022. Since the beginning of 2025, HAG stock price has increased by nearly 30%.
In the trading session on August 25, HAG shares increased by 1,100 VND to 17,200 VND/share.
If the newly registered transaction is successful, Mr. Doan Hoang Nam will spend about 430 billion VND, thereby increasing the number of holdings to 52 million HAG shares, equivalent to 4.92% of capital at Hoang Anh Gia Lai.
Bau Duc has 3 children, including daughter Doan Hoang Anh and 2 sons Doan Hoang Nam and Doan Hoang Nam Anh. Doan Hoang Nam Anh currently owns 13 million HAG shares, accounting for 1.23%.
In the second quarter of 2025, HAG reported a net profit of VND483 billion, up 86% year-on-year thanks to the breakthrough in the banana business segment. In the first 6 months of the year, HAG reported a 34% increase in revenue to over VND3,700 billion, and a 72% increase in profit to VND824 billion, reaching 78% of the annual profit target.
Thus, by the end of June, HAG no longer had accumulated losses.
