Mr. Duc sold 25 million HAG shares to Doan Hoang Nam's son?

(NLDO) – Mr. Duc registered to sell 25 million shares while his son – Doan Hoang Nam registered to buy 27 million HAG shares.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai Joint Stock Company (stock code HAG) has just made two announcements about stock transactions of internal shareholders and related persons.

Mr. Duc sells HAG shares, son buys

Accordingly, Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc (Bau Duc), Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hoang Anh Gia Lai, registered to sell 25 million HAG shares by negotiation, from August 15 to September 13 with the purpose of restructuring ownership.

If the deal is successful, Mr. Duc will reduce his ownership of HAG shares from 31.2% to 28.84% (from 329,950,533 shares to 304,950,533 shares).

On the same day (August 12), Mr. Duc's secretive son, Doan Hoang Nam, registered to buy 27 million HAG shares by negotiation or order matching on the stock exchange, from August 15 to September 13, with the aim of increasing his ownership ratio.

Mr. Duc invites shareholders to eat durian grown by the company.

Mr. Doan Hoang Nam currently does not own HAG shares. If the transaction is successful, he will hold 2.55% of shares in the company his father founded.

With the current HAG stock price of 16,200 VND/share, Mr. Duc is expected to earn nearly 400 billion VND, while his son Doan Hoang Nam will have to invest 437 billion VND to carry out this transaction.

Company escapes loss, attractive stock?

This is the first time Mr. Duc’s son has registered to buy HAG shares. Previously, Mr. Duc’s daughter, Doan Hoang Anh, frequently registered to buy and sell HAG shares in large quantities. Currently, Ms. Doan Hoang Anh owns 13 million HAG shares, accounting for 1.23% of capital.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai is currently an agricultural company with main products being fruits (bananas, durians) and livestock (pigs eat bananas). This year, the company plans to develop additional Arabica coffee and mulberry crops.

In the first six months of 2025, Hoang Anh Gia Lai had revenue of VND 3,709 billion and profit of VND 870 billion, up 34% and 74% over the same period in 2024. Up to this point, Hoang Anh Gia Lai has VND 400 billion in undistributed profit and has ended the accumulated loss that has plagued it for many years.
