For a long time, a slim appearance has become a measure of beauty for most Asian women, including China and Vietnam. In these countries, girls always want to have a slim appearance and tend to want to lose weight to make their figure lighter.

Also from this "beauty standard", Tieu Boi, a girl from Nanning city, Guangxi province (China) revealed that she admired the slim and neat figure of most Vietnamese women.

"I have to admit that Vietnamese girls have very beautiful bodies," the Chinese girl commented.

Having a business appointment at a coffee shop in Hanoi , Tieu Boi looked around and noticed that many girls were still drinking milk tea and eating cakes like her but still had admirable figures. She wondered why.

After that, she had the opportunity to live and work in Vietnam for a while, and Tieu Boi's doubts were gradually resolved.

"The reason why Vietnamese girls maintain a slim figure is mainly related to local cuisine and daily eating and living habits. Unlike Chinese dishes, Vietnamese dishes are very light, not too greasy and rich in green vegetables," commented Tieu Boi.

Observing the lunches of her female colleagues at the company, Tieu Boi noticed that there were not many greasy dishes. Instead, green vegetables, light soups, and fresh fruits were preferred.

Taking advantage of her time here, she revealed that she would enjoy all the delicious dishes in Vietnamese cuisine and have the opportunity to lose weight. However, after only about a month, Tieu Boi said she had gained nearly 2.5 kg because there were so many delicious foods she wanted to enjoy.

"So my weight loss plan in Vietnam failed again," the Chinese girl said happily.

Tieu Boi's post also attracted attention from the online community. An account named Weiping revealed that he had a similar experience.

"I once went to Ho Chi Minh City for a business trip. My company is in District 5, and there is a kitchen staff who serves lunch for the employees. Even though she doesn't know English, she cooks very well.

Not to mention, my colleagues at the company were also very enthusiastic, constantly inviting me to their home for dinner. As a result, after only 2 months, I gained nearly 10kg before returning home," Weiping shared.

"After living in Vietnam for half a year, I found the food here to be light, less greasy, and not as heavily spiced as Chinese food. At first, I was not used to it because everything felt bland. But over time, I got used to the taste. Now that I'm back in China, I want to find a restaurant with authentic Vietnamese pho flavor but don't know where to eat," said an account named Qing Deng.

For her part, Tieu Boi said she hasn’t had time to explore all the provinces and cities in Vietnam yet, but she will experience some cities in the North. She revealed that some of her favorite Vietnamese dishes are beef noodle soup, bun cha, and iced milk coffee.

It is known that Tieu Boi came to Vietnam to work and currently lives in Ho Chi Minh City. She often posts videos reviewing experiences about life and cuisine in Vietnam online.
