Highlight Urawa Reds 0-4 Monterrey
Although at the national team level, Japan and South Korea have significantly narrowed the gap with the world's top teams, at the club level, they are still far behind the level of the world's top clubs.

For example, in this morning's match, Urawa Reds suffered a crushing 0-4 defeat against Mexico's Monterrey Club. That was a match in which the Japanese representative almost succumbed to the terrible pressure from the opponent and had no resistance.
In their previous two matches, Urawa Reds were defeated quite easily by River Plate and Inter Miami. Thus, the team from the Land of the Rising Sun left the tournament without scoring a single goal. They scored 2 goals but conceded 9 goals.
Ulsan HD also suffered the same fate as Urawa Reds. The Korean team even lost to South African representative Mamelodi Sundowns with a score of 0-1 in the first match.

In the next two matches, Ulsan HD also suffered a 2-4 defeat against Fluminense and 0-1 against Dortmund. Thus, Ulsan HD also had no points, scoring 2 goals and conceding 6 goals.
The Japanese and South Korean representatives are among the worst performing teams at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. The only other team to lose all three matches is the Seattle Sounders (USA). Even semi-professional team Auckland City earned 1 point.
After tonight's and tomorrow morning's matches, Al Ain (UAE) are in danger of becoming the next team to lose all three matches. They lost 0-5 to Juventus and 0-6 to Man City. Wydad (Morocco) and Pachuca (Mexico) are also without any points before the final match.
