Attending the program were comrades: Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vu Xuan Cuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; former leaders of Lao Cai province through the periods; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the National Assembly Delegation of the province; leaders of departments, branches, localities and a large number of Lao Cai people.
Speaking at the program, Comrade Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Implementing Resolution No. 202/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly, from July 1, 2025, together with other provinces and cities nationwide, Lao Cai and Yen Bai provinces will merge to establish the new Lao Cai province. This is not only a combination of administrative boundaries, but also a convergence of culture, potential and strong development momentum of the whole region. The establishment of the new Lao Cai province opens up a large, multi-sectoral and sustainable development space, helping the Northern Midlands and Mountains region to make a strong breakthrough in the future.
Today's art program is not only an activity to celebrate this important event, but also a deep gratitude to the previous generations, those who have shed their sweat and blood to build and protect the homeland of Lao Cai - Yen Bai. This is also a call for every cadre, party member, citizen, and business to unite, join hands, and contribute to building a new Lao Cai province to develop rapidly and sustainably in the direction of "green, harmonious, unique, happy", becoming a developed province of the region by 2030.
Next, there was an art program imbued with the cultural identity of the highlands, elaborately and creatively staged with the participation of the Lao Cai Province Ethnic Art Troupe and professional artists and actors. Throughout the program were songs praising the beauty of the Vietnamese people, the desire for peace , integration and development such as: "Faith in the Party - You are the belief in certain victory", "Promise", "Invite you to the Northwest", "Say Yen Bai", "Lao Cai - the city in the clouds", "Colorful Vietnam", "Continue the story of peace", "Vietnam - the desire for strength"...
Interwoven with the performance are the reports "Lao Cai past and present" and "Lao Cai in the new days" depicting the strong development process and future orientations of the province in the context of deep integration and strong transformation of the organizational model after the merger.
Right after the art performance, a brilliant low-altitude fireworks display was performed, creating a highlight, marking a memorable moment in the development history of the new Lao Cai province.
