Support and spray nutrients to restore fallen trees after storms

Storm No. 3 caused great damage to agricultural production, infrastructure, traffic works, electricity and telecommunications systems in Hai Duong province. Preliminary estimates of damage caused by Storm No. 3 in the province are over 1,500 billion VND (excluding non-state enterprises).

Thousands of shade trees were knocked down and broken, blocking the road, and traffic in many areas was temporarily interrupted.

Therefore, these days, authorities, police forces, military, businesses and people, together with Hai Duong Urban Environment Joint Stock Company, continuously collect and clean up fallen trees to clean up the streets.

However, due to the large number of fallen trees and the lack of saws and transport vehicles, there are still a large number of trees that have not been cleared. Currently, Hai Duong City is mobilizing forces and all people to continue to participate in clearing fallen trees to make the streets clean and beautiful.

According to Hai Duong Urban Environment Joint Stock Company, it is expected that by the end of September 2024, the environmental landscape of Hai Duong City can be cleaned up.

In addition to cleaning up irrecoverable branches and trees, staff and workers of the Green Tree Enterprise (Hai Duong Urban Works Management Joint Stock Company) have been actively restoring and replanting trees in Hai Duong City that were knocked down by storm No. 3.

For some weak trees, the force will prop them up and spray nutrients to help the roots grow quickly.

Discussing with reporters about the plan to handle many large trees and valuable trees that cannot be restored, the authorities under the People's Committee of Hai Duong City said that the tree trunks are currently being gathered in the Ton Duc Thang street area. Here, the Hai Duong City Basic Construction Investment Project Management Board is hiring protection for these trees.

During the processing, the Hai Duong City Basic Construction Investment Project Management Board will count and determine the type of wood and the radius of the tree trunk. Then, they will be numbered in order to wait for auction.

"It is expected that the wood collection will be completed by September 30. The preservation and statistics will be strictly carried out by the Hai Duong City Basic Construction Investment Project Management Board. After that, the above amount of wood will be auctioned according to regulations," said the authorities.
