The South African team's No. 2 player, Philip Henning, is currently ranked 748th in the world, while Vietnam's No. 2 player, Trinh Linh Giang, is not currently on the world rankings.

If the winner is not determined, there will be 2 more singles matches. Ly Hoang Nam is the main force of the Vietnamese tennis team in both singles and doubles.
