On the afternoon of August 18, at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park (Hanoi), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the opening ceremony of the National Data Center organized by the Ministry of Public Security .
At the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh commended and highly appreciated the Ministry of Public Security for promptly completing the project on schedule as assigned by the Party and State, demonstrating "trust in the right place", saving 7% of the total project investment, ensuring the requirements set out; and being highly appreciated by professional agencies.
The Prime Minister emphasized that science - technology, innovation and national digital transformation are inevitable trends, strategic choices, objective requirements, and the cause of the entire Party, army and people. General Secretary To Lam's dedication to this cause contributes to realizing the aspiration of building a strong and prosperous country, where people enjoy prosperity and happiness.
On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister commended the spirit and determination of the Ministry of Public Security, especially the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and leaders of units who always closely followed, directed and directly operated at the construction site; construction contractors, machinery and equipment suppliers made outstanding efforts to complete the project on schedule and ensure quality.
According to the Prime Minister, the National Data Center is an important task of the digital infrastructure development strategy and digital government. This is one of the largest data centers in Southeast Asia; the first national center to be granted the highest level of international certification; meeting disaster resilience and high levels of security and safety.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that this project has strategic significance in contributing to promoting national digital transformation, developing digital economy, digital society, digital human resources and digital citizens; demonstrating will, belief and strength with the spirit of "nothing is impossible, only determination to do". From the process of implementing the National Data Center project, the Prime Minister reiterated the lessons to be implemented to do better for future projects, which are lessons on management, leadership, operation and command with "clear thinking, high determination, great efforts, drastic actions, focus, key points, finishing each job"; the assignment must be clear: "clear people, clear work, clear responsibility, clear time, clear products, clear results".
That is a lesson on promoting the combined strength, mobilizing the participation of many different subjects with the same aspirations, beliefs, and consensus in the spirit of "Clear thinking - Unanimity from top to bottom - Smart action - Substantial results". Along with that, the Prime Minister also emphasized the lesson on the tireless efforts, proactiveness, and bravery of the police force and the close and effective coordination of ministries, branches, localities, and enterprises in the spirit of "sharing, understanding, working together, enjoying together, winning together, and developing together"...
The Prime Minister suggested that the center must be the "heart" of national digital transformation, pioneering in connecting, sharing, and opening data, creating a safe and reliable data ecosystem so that all components of society can exploit and use it effectively.
"The Party has directed, the Government has agreed, the National Assembly has agreed, the people have supported, the Fatherland has expected, so we only discuss and do, not retreat. Taking people and businesses as the center of all activities of the center, aiming to serve the interests of people and businesses and serve socio-economic development and protect the Fatherland. People and businesses must participate in the formation and development of the database," the Prime Minister noted.
At the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and other leaders performed the ceremony to activate the database system of the National Data Center.
