According to the People's Committee of Ninh Thanh Loi commune , the whole commune currently has more than 463 policy families and people with revolutionary contributions, of which more than 200 are receiving regular subsidies. In recent times, the commune has fully and promptly implemented preferential policies and regimes; at the same time, it has mobilized resources to take care of the material and spiritual life of policy families, ensuring an average or higher standard of living compared to other households in the area.

In particular, the program to support housing construction for people with revolutionary contributions has received special attention from the locality. Through screening, the whole commune has 80 families of people with revolutionary contributions and relatives of martyrs in need of housing support. From the capital source of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses and the Project to support people with revolutionary contributions in housing (phase 2023-2025) of the province, the commune has completed the construction of 67 houses, the remaining 13 houses are being accelerated, with the goal of completion before July 27, 2025.

Receiving us in his newly built spacious house, Mr. Le Van Ut (Nha Lau 1 hamlet, Ninh Thanh Loi commune) was moved: "My family is not only excited to be supported to build the house, but this is also a great happiness to know that the Party, State and local government always care about the work of gratitude". Mr. Ut is a 3/4 class disabled soldier and has been supported with 60 million VND to build a gratitude house.

Mr. Le Van Dang, Vice Chairman of Ninh Thanh Loi Commune People's Committee, said: “From the beginning of the year, the Party Committee and the People's Committee of the commune have focused on implementing the Central Government's policies on building and repairing houses for policy families and meritorious people. Accordingly, the commune has established working groups to review the reality of each household, prioritizing the most difficult cases, and at the same time, mobilizing social resources to provide additional support in addition to the State's policies. With the spirit of "whoever has merit contributes, whoever has money contributes", we always strive to speed up the construction time, ensuring the progress and quality of each house".

Not only stopping at building houses, the work of gratitude in Ninh Thanh Loi commune is also comprehensively implemented with many other humanitarian activities such as: visiting and giving gifts on holidays and Tet; organizing for people with meritorious services to go for regular health care; supporting plants and breeds, creating conditions for access to agricultural extension programs, preferential loans for economic development.

“Repaying gratitude” is a policy of profound humanism of the Party and State. Through this, not only can today’s generations express their gratitude to heroic martyrs and families with meritorious services to the Fatherland, but alsoeducate national consciousness, arouse patriotism, and pride in the nation’s historical traditions for everyone, so that everyone can strive to compete in studying, working, and contributing their efforts and intelligence to the cause of protecting and building the homeland and country to become more and more prosperous./.
