Warning of heavy rain causing flooding in Bac Lieu province

According to Bac Lieu Hydrometeorological Station, from June 7 to 11, there is a possibility of widespread heavy rain in the province.

The average rainfall during this period is forecast to be between 100-200mm, with some places exceeding 200mm. Areas likely to be heavily affected include Hong Dan, Phuoc Long, Vinh Loi districts and Bac Lieu city.

People need to be on guard against heavy rain causing flooding.

This is a heavy rain with a level 1 natural disaster risk. Prolonged heavy rain can cause flooding in low-lying areas; especially in urban areas, if there is high intensity rain in a short period of time, it can cause flooding on low-lying roads. In addition, during the rain, there is a possibility of dangerous weather phenomena such as tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind, which can easily cause trees and houses to fall, affecting property and especially human lives. People need to proactively monitor weather forecasts and warnings on the media; at the same time, have appropriate prevention plans, especially in riverside areas, low-lying areas and places at risk of landslides.
