Inspecting the construction of housing for meritorious people in Chau Thanh district

Accompanying the delegation were comrade Kien Banh, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tra Vinh province, and representatives of relevant provincial departments, branches and sectors.

Receiving and working with the delegation were comrade Thach Thi Sa Thy, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Chau Thanh district; representatives of leaders, departments, branches of the district, leaders of some communes and towns in the district.

Implementing the Project, Chau Thanh district was assigned 232 houses for people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs; of which, 35 houses were newly built, 197 were repaired, with a total cost of 8.01 billion VND. Up to now, 211 houses have been implemented, of which, 28 houses were newly built, 183 houses were repaired, some houses have been completed and put into use. Strive to complete the construction and repair of houses for people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs on the occasion of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27, 2025.

Comrade Le Van Han, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, gave a speech at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Le Van Han highly appreciated the results of the implementation of the Project of Chau Thanh district, especially in the work of reviewing subjects, allocating capital sources, strictly operating and progressing the construction and repair of houses for households with revolutionary contributions and relatives of martyrs.

Based on the results achieved, as well as the advantages and difficulties in the implementation of the Project, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Han requested the provincial departments and Chau Thanh district to strengthen inspection and supervision of the progress of construction and repair of houses for households with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs in the Project. Organize inspection and supervision of financial work closely, ensuring that the funding for house construction is used for the right purpose and meaning.

In particular, sectors and localities proactively implement the Project to ensure the set progress. Organize the handover of houses to beneficiaries in economical conditions, ensuring humanity and following the spirit of "remembering the source of drinking water".

Comrade Le Van Han, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and encouraged Mr. Tran Van Tau, Huong Phu A hamlet, Da Loc commune.

After the working session with the People's Committee of Chau Thanh district, the delegation visited the family of Mr. Tran Van Tau, Huong Phu A hamlet and the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Danh, Bau Son hamlet, Da Loc commune. These are 02 subjects that are considered for financial support for house repair under the Project.
