At 4:56 p.m. on June 17, Call Center 114 - Hanoi City Police Command Center received a report of an explosion, causing a fire at the adjacent house No. 8 - TT35, Van Phu Urban Area, Ha Dong District, Hanoi City.
Hanoi City Police forces were present at the scene.

Immediately upon receiving the information, the City Police Command Information Center mobilized the City Police Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force and 4 fire trucks to the scene to put out the fire.
The leaders of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of the City Police also mobilized 2 command vehicles and 1 truck carrying specialized vehicles directly to the scene to coordinate with local authorities and people to organize fire fighting, rescue and relief work.
Upon arriving at the scene, the forces quickly deployed reconnaissance teams to put out the fire and search for victims.
At around 5:40 p.m., the fire was completely extinguished. During the search, authorities discovered two bodies and are currently identifying them.
Initial investigation determined that the explosion came from the 4th floor of the house, the initial cause was suspected to be fireworks used for the event.
White smoke from the fire rose high.

Currently, the Director of Hanoi City Police has directed units to urgently investigate and clarify the identities of the two victims and the cause of the fire. At the same time, coordinate with functional agencies and local authorities to organize the overcoming of consequences.
