Truck driver lucky to escape collision with train

While crossing the railway, the truck had an accident, at the same time a train was coming and there was a collision, fortunately there were no casualties.

The railway accident occurred at around 11am on June 18 in Ham Hiep commune, Ham Thuan Bac district, Binh Thuan province.

At that time, a passenger train traveling from the South to the North on the railway line from Binh Thuan Station (Muong Man) to Phan Thiet Station collided with a truck with license plate 86C-019.46 crossing the railway. Due to the detection and proactive deceleration from a distance, the train stopped immediately after colliding with the truck. Fortunately, the truck driver managed to escape from the vehicle.

The truck was only dented after the collision and fortunately there were no casualties.

After the accident, the train stopped for a few minutes and then continued its journey. Traffic police were present at the scene to investigate the accident. People at the scene said that the truck was going uphill from the pedestrian crossing to cross the railway when it was suspected of having an accident and the engine stopped, at the same time the train was approaching.

The accident happened on the internal railway line from Binh Thuan station to Phan Thiet station, not the North-South railway line, so it did not affect the schedule of other trains.
