Gia Lai: Support for officials working far away with 6 million VND/month for 2 years
In order to ensure working conditions for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers (CBCCVC&NLĐ) after the rearrangement of administrative units, the People's Council of Gia Lai province has just approved a support policy with a total application period of 2 years, from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2027.
Accordingly, civil servants and employees who are transferred and assigned to change their workplace from the old administrative center to the new administrative center of the province or vice versa will be supported with 6 million VND/person/month, including 2 million VND for travel expenses and 4 million VND for housing rental support. In case of being arranged for public housing, they will be supported with the cost of renting public housing without receiving additional housing rental support.
In addition, for cadres working in communes after the merger, the support policy is built based on travel distance: In which, the distance from the permanent residence to the commune-level agency headquarters after arrangement from 15km to under 20km will be supported with 500 thousand VND/person/month; from 20km to under 30km will be supported with 700 thousand VND/person/month; from 30km or more will be supported with 1 million VND/person/month.
Funding sources are from the provincial budget and other legal sources, paid with monthly salary.
Da Nang : Arrange buses to take officials to work, 30% discount on ticket prices
In order to reduce costs and support civil servants and employees after receiving from the merged locality, from July 18, 2025, Da Nang City will deploy a specialized public bus system to the city's administrative center.
The two main routes adjusted include route number 2: Central Bus Station – City Administrative Center – Cua Dai (46.7km long); route number 21: Central Bus Station – City Administrative Center – Tam Ky Bridge (77.2km).
Both routes have increased peak hour frequency, added large vehicles, and arranged additional stops at hospitals, industrial parks, markets, and bus stations for convenient pick-up and drop-off.
Public employees and workers are offered a 20-30% discount on tickets compared to normal. Specifically, monthly tickets for route 2 are reduced from 700,000 VND to 490,000 VND for public employees and route 21 from 850,000 VND to 600,000 VND. Single tickets are divided into stages and cost only from 6,000 VND to 36,000 VND.
In addition, units can register for collective monthly tickets at the City Administration Center or the Smart Traffic Operations Center.
Da Nang is also researching a policy to support 100% of monthly ticket prices from the budget for civil servants and employees.
The People's Council of Quang Ngai province has also just passed a Resolution on support policies for civil servants, public employees and workers from Kon Tum province (old) who are transferred to work at the administrative center of Quang Ngai province after the merger.
The policy applies to more than 900 civil servants, public employees and workers of Party, State, Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of Kon Tum province (old), aiming to create conditions for cadres to soon stabilize their residence, work with peace of mind and perform well their assigned tasks in the context of administrative restructuring.
Accordingly, cadres under the management of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee will be arranged official housing; while waiting for housing arrangement, the province will support housing rental costs. For travel support and working conditions, the support level is 3 million VND/person/month. In case cadres have been arranged official housing or supported to rent a house, the remaining support level is 1.6 million VND/person/month.
The policy is effective for two years, from July 1, 2025 to July 1, 2027, to ensure the necessary stability during the post-merger transition period.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang affirmed that this is a necessary policy, suitable to the reality and budget capacity of the locality, and committed to organizing and implementing it in the right direction, close to reality, contributing to creating the most favorable working conditions for officials.
