Kai Dinh and Ha Duc Hanh first met in 2023 through an acquaintance. Duc Hanh works in the field of psychology and mental health care, and was the founder of the social organization Hopeful Horizon. She invited Kai Dinh to join the project, from which the two gradually became close and fell in love.

After the wedding in Khanh Hoa, the couple will continue to Quang Ngai (the groom's hometown) on July 12 and Hanoi (the bride's hometown) to perform the wedding ceremony according to traditional customs.
