In Ca Mau province, the event was held on the evening of June 30 at Tran Hung Dao Street Square, Ward 5, Ca Mau City, now Tan Thanh Ward. In Bac Lieu area, the program was held at Hung Vuong Square, Ward 1, Bac Lieu City, now Bac Lieu Ward.

The program was attended by leaders and former leaders of Ca Mau and Bac Lieu provinces through different terms. Members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, leaders of departments, branches, units, socio-political organizations at the provincial level; representatives of Party Committees and People's Committees of communes and wards in the province and local people.

The opening act "On Minh Hai homeland" was performed by a singing and dancing group.

Bac Lieu - Ca Mau - the southernmost land of the Fatherland, carries a heavy affection for the South; where "the land knows how to bloom, the forest knows how to walk and the sea thrives", where rivers tell stories, where honest, generous, chivalrous and loyal people have together built heroic and glorious history pages. From the early days of opening up the country, to the resistance war to overthrow the colonial and imperialist regimes, regain peace and national independence; together with the whole country overcoming the consequences of war, entering a period of innovation, integration and development.

In the historical moment, the country is changing, entering a new era, streamlining the organizational apparatus is an inevitable trend towards sustainable development. The merger of Bac Lieu - Ca Mau brings us a larger space; greater potential, opportunities and motivation; together with the whole country to develop more strongly in the coming time. And today, in an atmosphere of pride and emotion, we together witness a historical milestone - the event of merging the two provinces of Ca Mau and Bac Lieu with the name of Ca Mau province - opening a new page of history, bearing the mark of the Southern land: Natural, generous, affectionate, full of aspirations to reach far.

The program took place very solemnly with a welcoming drum performance, combined with a group of exciting lion, unicorn and dragon dances. The opening performance; video clip showing the achievements of Bac Lieu and Ca Mau provinces; the organization and arrangement of the administrative apparatus of the two units; introduction of key projects of the New Ca Mau province...

Fireworks display concluded the art program, celebrating the unification of Ca Mau and Bac Lieu provinces.

The art program “Ca Mau: Solidarity for development - Firm steps towards the future” consists of 3 parts: Echoing the melody of pride; Sharing a river; Aspiration to reach far and ends with a 15-minute fireworks display, celebrating the event of the province's unification.
