Draw and schedule for the National First Division and National Cup 2025/26 season

VHO - On August 11 in Hanoi, Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF Company) held a draw ceremony to schedule the National First Division Football Tournament and National Cup for the 2025/26 season.

Accordingly, the 2025/26 National First Division Football Tournament will have the participation of 13 professional football teams, starting from September 19, 2025 and ending on June 20, 2026.

Mr. Tran Anh Tu - Vice President of VFF, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VPF company spoke at the drawing ceremony.

The tournament brings together 13 teams competing in a round-robin format, home and away, scoring points and ranking.

There are a total of 26 rounds and 156 matches. At the end of the season, the top 2 teams will be promoted to the 2026/27 National Championship, while the bottom 2 teams will be relegated to the Second Division the following season.

The champion team will receive a Cup, Gold Medal, and a bonus of 2 billion VND. The runner-up team will receive a Silver Medal and a bonus of 1 billion VND. The third-place team will receive a Bronze Medal and a bonus of 500 million VND.

The new highlight of this year's tournament is that each participating club is allowed to register a maximum of 1 foreign player, 1 Vietnamese player of foreign origin and 2 foreign players of Vietnamese origin.

Meanwhile, the 2025/26 National Cup Football Tournament brings together 26 professional clubs nationwide, including 14 National Championship clubs and 12 National First Division clubs, including: Becamex Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi Police, Ho Chi Minh City Police, Dong A Thanh Hoa, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Hanoi Club, Hai Phong, Hong Linh Ha Tinh, Ninh Binh, PVF-CAND, SHB Da Nang, Song Lam Nghe An, Thep Xanh Nam Dinh , The Cong Viettel, Bac Ninh, Van Hien University, Dong Thap, Gia Dinh, Hoa Binh, Khatoco Khanh Hoa, Long An, Ho Chi Minh City, Tre Ho Chi Minh City, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai, Quang Ninh, Quy Nhon Binh Dinh.

PVF-CAND Youth Club does not participate in the tournament because it is under the same management unit as PVF CAND Club competing in LPBank V.League 1-2025/26.

The tournament is scheduled to start on September 13, 2025 and the final match will take place on June 28, 2026. The National Cup champion club will receive a prize worth 2 billion VND.

To improve the professional quality and image of the tournaments, VPF Company will continue to deploy and apply VAR technology in some important rounds and matches of the National First Division and the National Cup 2025/26.

All matches in the 2025/26 season will be reported live and in full byFPT Play on the unit's infrastructure, including: terrestrial, cable, satellite, IPTV, Internet, mobile, public screening and exploitation on social networks,...

FPT Play will continue to cooperate with Vietnam Television (VTV) and Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) to produce and broadcast matches in the new season.

VPF Company believes that with the close and timely guidance of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Sports Department, the Vietnam Football Federation, and the support of the units, the 2025/26 season in general, the 2025/26 National First Division Football Tournament and the 2025/26 National Cup will be successfully organized.
