Ministry of Information and Communications has a new 40-year-old deputy minister

According to Decision No. 1429/QD-TTg dated November 20, the Prime Minister appointed Mr. Bui Hoang Phuong, Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel (Ministry of Information and Communications), to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Information and Communications.

Mr. Bui Hoang Phuong (left) was appointed Deputy Minister of Information and Communications.

Mr. Bui Hoang Phuong, 40 years old, has held many leadership positions in units within the Ministry of Information and Communications, including the position of Chief of Office of the Ministry of Information and Communications since August 2020.

In January 2022, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung transferred and appointed Mr. Phuong to the position of Chief Inspector of the ministry.

In October 2022, Mr. Phuong was appointed to the position of Head of the Department of Organization and Personnel.

Before Mr. Bui Hoang Phuong, the Ministry of Information and Communications had the youngest deputy minister in the country when he was appointed, Deputy Minister Nguyen Huy Dung, also born in 1983. Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung was appointed to the position of deputy minister in 2020, at the age of 37.

Currently, the Ministry of Information and Communications has 5 deputy ministers, including Mr. Phan Tam, Mr. Pham Duc Long, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam, Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung and Mr. Bui Hoang Phuong.
