Implementing the work plan, on the afternoon of June 9, in Lao Cai province, Inspection Team No. 5 of the Ministry of National Defense led by Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics (GDC) of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) as Head of the Team inspected, grasped the situation and results of military and defense tasks and rearranged local military agencies when implementing 2-level government at the Border Guard Command (BĐBP) of Lao Cai province.

At the meeting, representatives of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee and Border Guard Command reported on the results of border work in the first 6 months of 2025 and the implementation of the merger and reorganization of the Provincial Border Guard Command into the Border Guard Command under the Provincial Military Command. The report shows that in the first 6 months of 2025, the unit has comprehensively deployed and successfully completed all aspects of border work, management, and firmly protected territorial sovereignty and national border security in accordance with principles, policies, and countermeasures, avoiding passivity and surprise. At the same time, effectively deploy mass mobilization work, participate in building and consolidating a strong local grassroots political system, helping people develop the economy, culture, and society; effectively carry out border foreign affairs, build a peaceful , friendly, stable, cooperative, and developing border.

The Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard Party Committee and Command have proactively grasped and fully implemented the policies, directives, resolutions and conclusions of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, the Border Guard Party Committee and Command on restructuring the political system, organizing a lean, strong army, especially the plan to reorganize the Provincial Border Guard Command into the Border Guard Command under the Provincial Military Command. The unit proactively developed plans, did a good job of educating and orienting the ideology of officers and soldiers in the entire unit.

Concluding the inspection, Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung acknowledged and highly appreciated the preparation work of Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard and the results of the unit's task implementation in the first 6 months of the year. At the same time, he requested the representative of the Border Guard Command to participate in the working session to fully absorb the comments and assessments of the inspection team to direct and guide the remaining units in Military Region 2 to reorganize local military agencies when implementing the 2-level government to ensure speed, strictness and suitability.

Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung requested the Party Committee and the Border Guard Command of Lao Cai province to continue to study, grasp, and assess the situation, strictly maintain combat readiness; firmly protect territorial sovereignty and border security, absolutely not neglect political tasks, and not be passive or surprised in any situation. Along with that, organize propaganda to help officers and soldiers in the unit and local people have a correct understanding of the policy of rearranging local military agencies when implementing a two-level government, especially the plan to reorganize the Provincial Border Guard Command into a Border Guard Command under the Provincial Military Command.

After the decision to establish the Border Guard Command under the Provincial Military Command was made, the unit must quickly consolidate and put the organizations into operation, ensuring internal political security. At the same time, prepare and organize Party congresses at all levels in the unit in accordance with the procedures, principles, and schedule. In addition, it is necessary to focus on training and helping officers and soldiers quickly adapt to the new organization and structure, ready to receive and complete all assigned tasks well.
