Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns citizens when traveling to Greece

According to information from the Vietnamese Embassy in Greece, at noon on August 8, at Sarakiniko beach, Milos island, Greece, two Vietnamese citizens fell into the sea. Although they were rescued by Greek authorities, the two citizens died.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Greece has urgently contacted and coordinated with local and domestic authorities and travel companies to investigate the incident, protect citizens and contact the victim's family in Vietnam to visit and encourage them.

Following the direction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , the Vietnamese Embassy in Greece continues to closely coordinate with local and domestic authorities, providing guidance on relevant procedures and supporting the families in arranging funeral arrangements for the victims.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Greece advises citizens traveling to Greece that at this time there are strong winds, they should not stand close to the edge of cliffs or the side of boats, and should not go out to sea during storms to avoid unfortunate accidents.
