Sharing about the exhibition space of Diplomacy in the Ho Chi Minh era: 80 years of dedicated service to the nation and people within the framework of the exhibition 80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness , Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang said that the exhibition will bring visitors meaningful stories about the 80-year development journey of the Vietnamese Diplomatic sector.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was one of the first ministries established in the Provisional Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, personally founded by President Ho Chi Minh, who was also the first Minister.

Over the past 80 years, right from the early days of nation building and in both the resistance wars against France and the US, diplomacy has been one of the important fronts leading our nation to complete victory. And later, in the 40-year renovation process, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continued its mission of pioneering, working with other ministries and branches to achieve many achievements, making Vietnam not only a name on the world map but also a bright spot in the region and globally.

According to Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang, to date, Vietnam has established diplomatic relations with 194 countries, the Communist Party of Vietnam has relations with 259 political parties in the world; economic integration, cultural diplomacy, foreign information work, citizen protection, overseas Vietnamese, territorial borders... all bear the mark of contributions from generations of leaders, cadres and staff of the diplomatic sector through the periods.

“The more honored and proud we are of the 80-year achievements of the sector, the more aware we are of the responsibility of diplomatic staff, especially young staff, when the country is entering a new era, an era of national strength and prosperity,” Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang emphasized.

The Deputy Minister affirmed that each diplomatic officer is a soldier on the silent front and continues to play a pioneering role, leading the way, together with other military branches, becoming an important and regular force, bringing the country into a new era, the people are prosperous, well-off, and on par with the world powers as Uncle Ho instructed.

Inspecting the construction of the exhibition area, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang highly appreciated the contributions of the staff of the units in the Ministry, trying to ensure the progress of the work in a short time. The Deputy Minister believes that the exhibition area of ​​the Foreign Affairs sector will bring visitors a general and comprehensive view of the heroic and proud historical journey of the sector, thereby further understanding and appreciating the efforts of the "soldiers on the diplomatic front".

Sharing about the process of implementing the exhibition area, Mr. Nguyen Manh Dong, Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Academy, said that despite the pressure on progress, quality requirements and changes during the implementation process, with the strong direction of the Ministry's leaders, headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, directly by Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang, and the participation of generations of leaders and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the periods; units within the ministry, and 98 Vietnamese representative agencies abroad... have helped provide many valuable documents and images, many of which are appearing for the first time.

“The active participation of all generations of leaders, officers and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the periods is a source of inspiration and fuel for us in the journey of bringing the history and 80-year pride of the Industry to the public,” Mr. Nguyen Manh Dong shared.

The Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Academy hopes that the exhibition area of ​​the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will recreate the historical milestones, events and achievements of the sector - marking 80 years of dedicated service to the country and the people of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, thereby inspiring the younger generation to continue writing the heroic historical tradition of the Sector in the new era of the nation.

Towards the 80th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), from August 28 to September 5, at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi), an exhibition of national achievements will take place with the theme 80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness .

Within the framework of the Exhibition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will display the space of Diplomacy in the Ho Chi Minh era: 80 years of dedicated service to the nation and people .

The exhibition area in Hall 8 of the National Exhibition Center will introduce to the people and international friends the glorious 80-year journey of Vietnam's revolutionary diplomacy founded, directly directed and trained by President Ho Chi Minh.

The exhibition introduces hundreds of valuable images, documents and artifacts, carefully selected from many rich domestic and foreign sources, including many documents published for the first time.

The exhibition space vividly recreates historical milestones, events and typical achievements of the Vietnamese Diplomatic sector over the past 80 years: from the struggle for national liberation and reunification, to the work of creating and maintaining a peaceful, stable and developing environment for the country.

The exhibition also clearly depicts the important and regular role of diplomacy in creating and maintaining a peaceful and stable environment and making the most of external resources and favorable conditions to serve the country's strategic goals, enhancing the position and prestige of the Party and State of Vietnam in the international arena.
