Immediately after receiving information from local authorities and people, Engineering Brigade 414 (Military Region 4) quickly mobilized 60 officers and soldiers who were carrying out civil work in the area to coordinate with the police force, local militia and people to urgently deploy work to overcome the consequences.

With a high sense of responsibility, the forces quickly cleaned up the scene, collected materials, rebuilt houses and re-roofed all damaged houses.

Mr. Tran Quang Hoa, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Kim 2 Commune, said: Due to the circulation of storm No. 3 causing heavy rain and strong winds, 117 houses of households had their roofs blown off, including: Thuong Kim village with 42 households, Thanh Dung village with 10 households, Lang Che village with 15 households, Kim Binh village with 3 households, Ha Vang village with 30 households and Quyet Thang village with 20 households with their roofs completely blown off and damaged.

Mr. Le Thanh Nhan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Son Kim 2 Commune, informed: By 6:30 p.m. on July 23, the work of repairing and re-roofing houses for affected households had been completed, helping people to soon stabilize their lives and proactively prevent further bad weather situations.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tuan Ngoc, Deputy Political Commissar of the 414th Engineering Brigade, currently, due to the continued impact of storm No. 3, the weather in the area is still complicated. The unit continues to grasp the local situation, combine mass mobilization work with propaganda, and mobilize people to raise vigilance and proactively implement measures to prevent natural disasters.
