Preliminary total investment is about 46,725 billion VND from local budget and other sources. Of which, budget capital is 16,725 billion VND (36%); capital mobilized from TOD is about 30,000 billion (64%).

According to the proposal, the project will be implemented in the period of 2025 - 2031 in the form of public investment.

Along with metro line 1, metro line 2 of Binh Duong connecting Thu Dau Mot - Ho Chi Minh City is also being studied. This line is expected to be nearly 22 km long, with the starting point from station S5 of metro line 1 Binh Duong in Phu My ward, the end point connecting with metro line 3 of Ho Chi Minh City in Hiep Binh Phuoc ward, Thu Duc city.

On June 28, many important projects in Binh Duong were simultaneously started and inaugurated. One important project, Binh Goi Bridge, part of the Ring Road 3 project, spanning the Saigon River, connecting Thuan An City of Binh Duong with Cu Chi District of Ho Chi Minh City, was completed.

According to Binh Duong Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi, this is an important step in completing inter-regional transport infrastructure and when Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City become one.

Mr. Loi affirmed that Binh Goi bridge is a symbol of connection and harmony in urban, economic and social space between the two localities.

This is one of six bridges across the Saigon River, part of the system connecting Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces, including Binh Tay, Thanh An, Ben Suc, Phu Cuong and Phu Long bridges. The bridge has an investment of nearly 600 billion VND, started construction in October 2023 and is expected to be technically open to traffic by the end of 2025.

On the same day, DT 746 route, 11.43 km long, with an investment capital of nearly 1,500 billion VND, connecting the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project, was also put into use.

Another housing project that also started construction on June 28 is Bcons Binh An – Dong Tay of Bcons Group. The project is built on a 30,000m2 plot of land in Binh An Ward, Di An City, with an investment of more than 6,500 billion VND.

The project includes a complex of more than 1,800 apartments and a 39-storey twin tower for commerce and services with a total floor area of nearly 173,000m2. This will also be a working location for businesses in Ho Chi Minh City because it is directly connected to Hanoi Highway and adjacent to the Ho Chi Minh City National University Urban Area.

Previously, on June 27, another housing project also started construction in Binh Duong, the Ho Guom Xanh project, in Thuan An City.

This project covers an area of up to 24.5 hectares, with a total investment of nearly 1 billion USD, expected to provide more than 4,000 luxury apartments, more than 300 villas, commercial townhouses, and amenities such as schools, event centers and 5-star hotels... located on Highway 13, invested by Binh Duong Trade and Tourism Joint Stock Company.

According to Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh, the groundbreaking of the projects promises to bring opportunities for settlement, investment and economic development, contributing to shaping a modern, creative and sustainable urban center.

Mr. Minh affirmed that after nearly 30 years of development, the locality is an attractive destination for many investors. With its strategic location and synchronous infrastructure, Binh Duong is ready for the journey of merging, becoming a part of the megacity of Ho Chi Minh City with the largest economic scale in the country.

At the final session (special session) of the 10th term People's Council of Binh Duong province, a series of traffic and housing projects were also approved. The most important of which is the adjustment of the BOT project to upgrade and expand National Highway 13. This is the main traffic axis connecting Binh Duong and Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern key economic region. This project has been "stuck" for many years, the implementation will connect the synchronous infrastructure of Ho Chi Minh City after the merger, remove traffic bottlenecks and promote investment attraction.

Also at this meeting, the list of 201 land plots for commercial housing projects with a total area of about 983 hectares was approved.

These lands are spread across rapidly developing areas such as Di An, Thuan An, Ben Cat, Tan Uyen, Thu Dau Mot and Dau Tieng.
