The information was given at a conference to assess the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of the year and deploy key tasks for the last 6 months of 2025 organized by the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, connecting online to districts, towns, cities and communes, wards and towns in the province recently.

Investment projects in the province increased sharply
According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee, in the first 6 months of 2025, the socio-economic situation of the province continued to maintain stability and recovery and development. Gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the first 6 months of 2025 is estimated to increase by 8.1% over the same period.
From the beginning of the year to June 15, the province attracted 58 investment projects with a total registered capital of VND43,085.3 billion. Compared to the same period last year, the number of registered investment projects increased by 141.6%.
Disbursement of public investment capital continues to be promoted, the value of disbursed public investment capital managed by the province in the first 6 months of the year is estimated at 4,514 billion VND, reaching more than 53.6% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister and more than 47.6% of the plan assigned by the Provincial People's Council.
Total state budget revenue in the first 6 months of 2025 is estimated at VND 9,284 billion, reaching 53.3% of the annual estimate, up 43.1% over the same period. Of which, domestic revenue (excluding land use fees; lottery; dividends, distributed profits and remaining profits) is over VND 4,312 billion, reaching 48.1% of the annual estimate, up 22.3%.
Tourism activities continue to grow. In the first 6 months of the year, the number of visitors to Binh Dinh reached over 6.5 million, up 13.5% over the same period. Total revenue from tourists in the first 6 months of 2025 reached 16,000 billion VND, up 14.2% over the same period.
Cultural and social activities are maintained stably and securely, national defense and security are maintained, and hot spots are not allowed to arise...
Regarding the work of reorganizing the State administrative apparatus and restructuring public service units, up to now, Binh Dinh province has reorganized administrative units and built a 2-level local government organization model; built a project to reorganize Gia Lai province with Binh Dinh province, and a project to reorganize commune-level administrative units of Binh Dinh province in 2025.
Along with that, the work of building e-government, digital government, and applying information technology in state management activities continues to receive attention; administrative reform continues to be focused on; promoting publicity, transparency, and simplification of administrative procedures, taking people and businesses as the center of service.
According to the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh, according to the divergence of socio-economic development targets, most of the targets for the first 6 months of 2025 were achieved and exceeded. Notably, in the first 6 months of 2025, the whole province had 49 industrial production projects with a total investment of VND 3,341 billion put into operation, of which 4 key projects with a total investment of VND 2,135 billion contributed to promoting production growth, creating jobs and contributing to the budget.

Open a new page with lots of potential and opportunities to grow
Concluding the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that this was the last socio-economic meeting of the Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, with many emotions, and also the end of a historical period, opening a new page when forming a new Gia Lai province with many potentials and opportunities to reach out with a larger development space.
“In the 2020-2025 period, the biggest thing that remains is the pride when the efforts of the entire political system have brought results, helping the homeland to develop more and more. During the restructuring period, the province still welcomes many investors to find investment and development opportunities,” Chairman Pham Anh Tuan shared. He said that many key projects and works have been, are being and will be implemented, creating a launching pad for the development of Binh Dinh. Notably, in the context of restructuring the organization, apparatus, administrative units, provincial leaders, departments, branches, district and commune levels, whether moving to new positions or about to retire, are still united, enthusiastic and responsible, still stick to the job, determined to complete the task until the last moment.
Regarding the tasks in the coming time, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan requested the authorities at all levels in the province to focus on the work of merging new communes and wards and merging into the province on June 30, ensuring a "Refined - Compact - Strong - Effective - Efficient - Effective" apparatus. In the immediate future, the 2-level local government model will be piloted in 58 new communes and wards with the following contents: processing, sending and receiving interconnected electronic documents, resolving administrative procedures in the 2 fields of civil status and meritorious people. In just a few days, the district-level government will stop operating, Binh Dinh province will merge with Gia Lai, 58 new communes and wards of Binh Dinh will officially operate from July 1, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh noted that localities focus on handing over documents, tasks, and related finances. At the same time, key leaders of the 58 new communes and wards will review and prepare conditions to ensure that the new communes can operate, paying attention to building specialized departments, working regulations, functions and powers of specialized departments and especially arranging specialized staff capable of undertaking the work.
