Quang Tri Provincial General Hospital: Chronic Kidney Disease Club Activities

This afternoon, July 10, Quang Tri General Hospital organized the Chronic Kidney Disease Club 2025 with the theme "Medicine today - Hope for tomorrow: Living better with chronic kidney disease". Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Bui Bao, Vice Principal of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy; specialists of the Provincial General Hospital and 150 patients attended.

At the meeting, patients were informed by experts about common medical knowledge about chronic kidney disease, including: Causes, progression and common complications; nutrition and lifestyle appropriate for each stage of the disease; instructions on monitoring basic test results and treatment compliance.

At the same time, update current treatment information such as conservative treatment methods, dialysis, kidney transplantation; the role of SGLT2i drugs in chronic kidney disease.

This is an opportunity for patients and their families to have their questions answered about chronic kidney disease, and for patients and medical staff to exchange and share experiences.

The Chronic Kidney Disease Club was first organized in 2022 to provide basic and updated knowledge about chronic kidney disease, to help patients understand correctly and be proactive in long-term monitoring and treatment.

This not only enhances the connection, listening and companionship between medical staff and patients and their families, improves the quality of care and treatment experience, but also contributes to raising public awareness of the importance of early detection and good control of risk factors for kidney failure. Contributes to maintaining and developing the patienteducation model - one of the key factors in the management of non-communicable diseases in hospitals.
