The press contributes to enhancing the position of Ba Ria

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dang Minh Thong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, said that, along with the development of the national press, the press of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has continuously grown, leaving a strong impression in the hearts of the people and making an important contribution to the cause of local construction and development. Since Ba Ria - Vung Tau province was established in 1991, the provincial press has always accompanied the authorities at all levels, becoming an indispensable bridge between the Party Committee, the government and the people, and at the same time a voice that truly and vividly reflects the economic , cultural and social life of the province.

Ba Ria - Vung Tau Newspaper, the Provincial Radio and Television Station, and other press agencies in the area have constantly innovated and improved the quality of content and form, meeting the increasingly diverse information needs of the people. In-depth articles and investigative reports on hot issues such as marine economic development, environmental protection, or administrative reform have contributed to providing timely information, helping leaders at all levels make appropriate and practical decisions.

Besides, humane stories, typical advanced examples and traditional cultural beauties of Ba Ria - Vung Tau are also vividly reflected by the press, spreading good values to the community.

In the province's important events, the press has always been the pioneer in propaganda work such as: Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the province's founding (1991-2021), 50th anniversary of the province's Liberation Day (1975-2025), 60th anniversary of the Binh Gia Victory (1964-2024), 50th anniversary of the Con Dao Liberation Day (1975-2925)... A series of in-depth articles and special television programs have contributed to arousing national pride, solidarity and the will to rise of the people of the province.

Not only reflecting information, the press is also a companion of the people in reflecting the difficulties, concerns, aspirations of the people to the leaders at all levels. Many issues such as environmental pollution in industrial zones, inadequacies in land management, difficulties of fishermen in accessing support policies have been highlighted by the press, thereby contributing to promoting timely and effective solutions from local authorities.

On this occasion, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province honored 19 authors and groups of authors with excellent works in the 33rd Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Press Awards. Of which, there were 3 A prizes, 3 B prizes and 3 C prizes. In addition, many journalists of the province won the National Press Award, contributing to enhancing the position of Ba Ria - Vung Tau press.
