The project is expected to be implemented in the two communes of Cam Thinh Dong and Cam Thinh Tay (Cam Ranh City) with a total land use area of about 34 hectares; designed plant capacity of 100MW; using wind turbines with capacity from 5MW to 8MW, with an average electricity output of about 287 GWh/year; connection plan to the national power system; total investment capital estimated at about 3,798 billion VND. The project is expected to start construction in the third quarter of 2027 and be commercially operated by the end of 2029; the proposed project operation period is 50 years. This is one of the clean energy projects, contributing to diversifying electricity supply sources, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting local socio -economic development.
At the conference, experts and delegates focused on giving comments and feedback on the suitability of the project location with national and local environmental planning and strategies; investment progress and implementation time; waste treatment plan during construction and operation; socio-economic efficiency; solutions to ensure social security for people, compensation, site clearance and job support... At the same time, they evaluated the plan and technology for waste treatment during project construction and operation organization upon completion...
Through the conference, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Provincial Committee will synthesize and complete social criticism documents to send to relevant agencies according to regulations.
