Handing over resettlement land to 6 households in Trieu Binh

Today, July 3, Chairman of Trieu Binh Commune People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Vu said that he has handed over resettlement land to 6 households in An Loi village to build houses to stabilize their lives. These are households affected by the Coastal Road project connecting the East-West Economic Corridor and are having to temporarily reside.

The Coastal Road Project connecting the East-West Economic Corridor passing through Trieu Binh commune affected 112 households, including 22 resettlement households. In An Loi hamlet alone (formerly Trieu Do commune), 6 households had to be relocated because their houses were located right next to the Thach Han 1 bridge pier under construction.

To ensure the project's progress, local leaders have repeatedly come to persuade displaced households to move to temporary housing while waiting for resettlement. Trieu Phong district leaders also committed to having resettlement land within a certain time so that households can build houses and stabilize their lives.

For the common good, the households agreed to receive compensation and temporarily move in from June 2024. Specifically, 4/6 households with 19 people have moved to live in the old Trieu Do Primary School No. 1 nearby, including the households of Mr. Le Quy, Le Trang, Le Van Duyet and Le Van Tri; 2 other households have not been affected much so they are still waiting for resettlement. After many delays, on July 2, the households were able to sign to receive the land plot location in the resettlement area under construction in An Loi village.

The households were happy to have been handed over the land to build houses to stabilize their lives soon. However, with the current status of the resettlement area under construction, they are still not confident in building houses. "The resettlement area has only just finished pouring the ground, while items such as roads, electricity, and water have not been built yet, so we still cannot build houses because we are worried that the construction will affect the structure later," said Mr. Le Trang.

Chairman of Trieu Binh Commune People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Vu added that, in response to the urgent housing needs of the households, the commune has requested the project management board to coordinate with specialized agencies to promptly hand over the site so that people can feel secure and proceed with house construction. At the same time, the commune has directed the contractor and construction unit to quickly complete the remaining items of the resettlement area.
