Moc Chau Culture - Tourism Week 2025, held on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. This is an opportunity to promote "Moc Chau National Tourist Area", the brand "Moc Chau - The world's leading natural destination". The event also aims to honor the unique culture of ethnic groups and mark the first year of operation under the 2-level government model, organized on a scale and nature of inter-commune and ward.

At the cultural camps of communes and wards, there were displays introducing cultural potential, tourism, religious space, costumes, jewelry, labor tools, production, traditional handicrafts, local agricultural specialties; publications, images, information to attract and develop tourism; organizing unique ethnic cultural experience activities such as brocade weaving, creating patterns on fabric, Thai Xoe, Khen dance, Chuong dance, Sap dance and community cultural activities, ethnic sports, folk games.

The festival features many unique cultural and sports activities of the Mong ethnic group, such as: Displaying, introducing and organizing activities to experience the art of decorating patterns on fabric of the Mong ethnic group: Embroidery, beeswax painting. Especially, the round of pounding rice cakes with the participation of 5 teams from communes and wards always attracts a large number of viewers, cheering because of the attractiveness of the competition as well as the spirit, the process of making cakes requires dexterity and rhythm.

The highlight is the street community cultural activities with the participation of artists and mass actors of the ethnic groups: Thai, Dao, Muong, Mong at some points on National Highway 6, the inner city road of Moc Son ward; attracting a large number of people and tourists to watch and participate in the experience.

Joining the crowd of people excitedly celebrating Independence Day on the plateau, Ms. Dinh Thi Huong, a tourist from Ninh Binh province, shared: The natural scenery in Moc Chau is very beautiful, the people are friendly and hospitable. Coming here, I not only admired the beauty of the ethnic people in traditional costumes, but also participated in and learned about many unique cultural activities, bringing me interesting and memorable experiences on the occasion of National Day this year.

In the presentation and introduction of ethnic cuisine, unique dishes imbued with the cultural identity of ethnic groups, such as: grilled stream fish, grilled chicken, wild chicken, five-color sticky rice were prepared by the skillful and talented hands of artisans, creating a beautiful and attractive tray of food that attracted a large number of visitors to watch and cheer.

Coming to Moc Chau on this occasion, visitors can also experience cultural and tourism activities at typical tourist areas and spots in the communes and wards, such as: Moc Chau walking street; Bach Long glass bridge; Happy land tourist spot, Ang village pine forest tourist area, community tourism villages: Ta So village, Doi village, Na Ang residential group, Vat Hong residential group; visit historical and cultural relics, scenic spots: Bat Cave, Historical relic of Tay Tien Regiment 52, Moc Ly Station; Chien Vien Pagoda... This is also an opportunity to promote, introduce and advertise the image of the land and people of Son La in general, Moc Chau National Tourist Area in particular to a large number of people, domestic and international tourists, contributing to promoting tourism development.

Moc Chau Culture and Tourism Week is the biggest cultural and tourism event of the year on Moc Chau plateau with many rich and attractive cultural, sports and tourism activities. This is an opportunity for people and tourists to meet, have fun, shop and participate in cultural and sports activities, contributing to improving the spiritual life of ethnic minorities in and outside Son La province.
