Handing over vocational secondary schools, district-level vocational education and continuing education centers to the Department of Education and Training

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - On June 25, the Department of Education and Training (DET) of Thanh Hoa province held a conference to hand over vocational secondary schools and Vocational Education - Continuing Education Centers (VET - Continuing Education) to the Department of Education and Training.

The representative of the Department of Education and Training signed the Decision to accept vocational secondary schools and district-level vocational education and training centers under the Department.

Mr. Ta Hong Luu, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training delivered the opening speech.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Ta Hong Luu, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, emphasized: The consolidation and rearrangement of public service units towards streamlining and efficiency not only meets the requirements of State governance innovation, but also contributes to improving the quality of vocationaleducation , promoting training linkages associated with labor market needs in localities.

Schools and centers will continue to maintain their current organizational structure, headquarters and personnel to ensure a smooth transition without interruption to professional activities.

Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training received the original status of 3 Vocational Secondary Schools including Thach Thanh, Nga Son and Bim Son, along with 23 Vocational Education and Continuing Education Centers in districts, towns and cities under the district People's Committees to be under the management of the Department.

After coming into operation from July 1, 2025, schools and centers will change their seals, improve their internal organizational structure and develop job position projects, and submit them to competent authorities for approval according to current regulations.

This is a specific implementation step of Project No. 100/DA-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee on reorganizing the local government apparatus and rearranging public service units after the end of the district-level administrative unit.

The establishment of new schools and centers on the basis of reorganizing district-level vocational education and training institutions aims to ensure stable and effective operations, while strengthening unified direction and management from the provincial level. Thereby, contributing to concretizing the policy of promoting decentralization, improving the efficiency of public service provision, as well as creating favorable conditions for students and learners in inter-commune and town areas to access vocational training and continuing education programs conveniently and with quality.
