Rising stream water caused Hoang Thi P. (born in 2017), residing in Cuom village, Dong Tien commune, to be swept away by floodwaters while on her way home from herding buffalo. Immediately after receiving the news, Dong Tien commune mobilized human resources to urgently search for the missing victim. After many hours of searching, at noon on June 19, the child's body was found and handed over to the family for burial according to local customs. Dong Tien commune leaders directly visited, encouraged, gave support money, and shared the loss with the victim's family.

Many traffic routes in Dong Tien commune were eroded, affecting people's travel.

Heavy rains also caused landslides on many inter-commune and inter-village roads, greatly affecting people's travel. Specifically, the inter-commune road Dong Tam - Dong Tien had 6 landslides; the road from Dong Tien to Bach Ngoc commune (Vi Xuyen) had 4 landslides; the road from Cham village to Cong Da village (Dong Tien commune) had 3 landslides with a total volume of rock and soil spilling onto the road estimated at 490 m³.

Currently, the local government has mobilized "four on-site" forces to actively overcome the consequences and organize traffic flow to ensure traffic safety. At the same time, they continue to monitor weather developments to proactively respond and minimize possible damage.
