President Vo Van Thuong invited the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to review the honor guard of the Vietnam People's Army. Mr. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has been the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan since March 2019, he is the second President of Kazakhstan.

This is the first time Mr. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has come to Vietnam in his new position, and also the first visit by a Kazakh president to Vietnam in the past 12 years. The visit takes place in the context of the good development of the relationship between the two countries after 30 years of establishing diplomatic relations.

The two leaders witnessed the signing of many important documents. Minister of Public Security To Lam signed an agreement between Vietnam and Kazakhstan on the transfer of sentenced prisoners.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son signed an agreement between Vietnam and Kazakhstan on visa exemption for ordinary passport holders.

Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien signed a joint action plan to promote economic and trade cooperation between the Government of Vietnam and the Government of Kazakhstan for the period 2023-2025. The Minister of Culture signed a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan on cooperation in the field of tourism.

Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television Dinh Dac Vinh signed a memorandum of understanding between Vietnam Television and Khabar Agency. According to the schedule on August 22, President Vo Van Thuong will visit Chu Dau pottery village ( Hai Duong ) with the President of Kazakhstan. In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation officially ended their visit to Vietnam.
