At the conference, Mr. Huynh Van Hoa - Deputy Director of An Giang Department of Education and Training chaired, emphasizing the goal of improving the quality of teaching and learning, while focusing on innovating methods and applying digital transformation in management and teaching.

In the 2024-2025 school year, An Giang province has 617 secondary school teachers achieving the title of Excellent Teacher at the provincial level (including 261 secondary school teachers and 356 high school teachers); 143 teachers achieving the title of Excellent Homeroom Teacher at the provincial level (including 74 secondary school teachers and 69 high school teachers).
In the 2024-2025 National Excellent Student Competition, An Giang has 84 prizes including: 7 Second prizes; 24 Third prizes and 53 Encouragement prizes. The National Science and Technology Competition has 6 competing projects, the results are 3 Second prizes and 1 Fourth prize; 4 projects participated in the Final Round of the 7th Student Startup Idea Competition SV - STARTUP, all 4 projects won prizes: 3 Third prizes and 1 Encouragement prize.
The rate of students graduating from junior high school reached 99.96%; the rate of students graduating from high school in the general education system reached 99.81%; and the rate of students graduating from continuing education system reached 99.31%. The average score of An Giang province ranked 8th in the country and led the Mekong Delta region with 6,860 points; 6/12 subjects had average scores in the top 10 nationwide, and top 3 in the Mekong Delta region. The whole province had 76 units with a graduation rate of 100%.

At the conference, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training of An Giang requested secondary education institutions to continue to effectively implement the 2018 General Education Program flexibly, in accordance with the practical conditions of the school. Improve the quality of admission to grade 10 and the average score of the high school graduation exam in 2026. At the same time, implement teaching 2 sessions/day at least 30% in schools that meet the conditions according to regulations.
Continue to innovate teaching and testing methods, and evaluate students in the direction of developing their qualities and abilities, creating opportunities and conditions for students to develop comprehensively; promote STEM/STEAM education, digital skills, artificial intelligence (AI), career education and student streaming after junior high school and high school; improve teaching quality and gradually make English a second language.

At the same time, strengthen conditions to ensure education quality, develop school networks, build schools that meet national standards, invest in building boarding schools (according to the new model) in border communes and ethnic minority areas; arrange a reasonable team of teachers; have appropriate and timely solutions to support local authorities at the commune level to effectively implement state management of education in the context of merging administrative boundaries and implementing two-level local government.
Focus on implementing moral and lifestyle education for students; strengthen life skills education, build behavioral culture in schools; psychological counseling for high school students; social work in schools. Continue to effectively implement the integration of other appropriate educational contents according to regulations.
At the same time, strengthen and improve the quality of universal education, ensure equity in access to education; effectively implement ethnic education and inclusive education for students with disabilities.
