Sports, health care, and beauty models are being researched and surveyed, but have not been implemented synchronously, such as: Some daytime sports activities such as paragliding and kayaking are available but have not expanded their operating hours at night. Nighttime health care products such as night spa, beach yoga, night meditation, etc. are in the process of surveying demand and developing an implementation plan.
Along with that, night shopping and entertainment models; night tourism; introduction of culinary culture, and night dining services have been exploited, creating rich cultural and culinary products, contributing to enhancing the experience for tourists.
The implementation of the Project in Phu Quoc has initially achieved some positive results in terms of infrastructure, products and socio-economic efficiency, contributing significantly to the development of night tourism and improving the quality of local tourism products.
The implemented solutions contribute to enhancing the image of Phu Quoc as a safe and dynamic night-time destination, affirming the role of night tourism in sustainable tourism development in the context of international integration.
However, in addition to the advantages, there are still certain difficulties. To overcome the shortcomings, continue to promote the effectiveness and promote the sustainable development of night tourism products in Phu Quoc, the People's Committee of An Giang province proposed that, in terms of infrastructure and planning, it is necessary to continue to invest synchronously in infrastructure serving the development of night tourism, especially in coastal areas, walking streets, and night markets; add canopies, landscape lighting, and artistic lights to ensure safe and convenient entertainment, shopping, and performance spaces in both the rainy and dry seasons. Upgrade the drainage system, prevent local flooding at crowded places; organize the planning of night tourism development space by region, reasonably distribute performance, culinary, shopping, and entertainment areas, ensuring a seamless and safe experience space.
Night tourism products have an important contribution
Regarding products and services, it is necessary to diversify art performances, organize themed weeks/months (street art week, island festival month, traditional music night, etc.). Organize folk culture festivals, cuisine, night fairs; preserve and promote local traditional cultural values. Develop night sea sports products, spa - night health care, adventure sports activities, enhance night tourism experiences.
Regarding policy mechanisms, the Provincial People's Committee proposed that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issue a framework for night tourism development, creating a clear legal corridor. Propose to build a flexible mechanism for granting art performance licenses and short-term work permits for international artists in night performances and events. Propose to support small and medium-sized enterprises and individual business households to access preferential capital sources to invest in night tourism services.
Regarding promotion and advertising, it is necessary to strengthen communication and promote Phu Quoc night tourism on international channels, international tourism fairs, digital platforms, and social networks. Organize regional and international night events (light festivals, night sea festivals, international music festivals, etc.) to attract international visitors. Build digital applications and digital maps of Phu Quoc night tourism, providing complete and convenient information for visitors.
