AMD has recently quietly launched the AM4 gaming CPU with 'huge' performance at a 'soft' price.

According to Tom's Hardware , nearly a decade after its launch, the legendary AM4 socket-based platform was suddenly 'revived' by AMD with an extremely attractive low-cost gaming CPU called Ryzen 5 5500X3D. However, not everyone has the opportunity to own this 'bargain'.

Despite the dominance of the AM5 socket, AMD has quietly introduced a new processor for the AM4 platform, affirming its commitment to the mainstream user segment. This new Ryzen 5 5500X3D chip brings the power of the famous 3D V-Cache technology, promising outstanding gaming performance at an accessible price.

The Ryzen 5 5500X3D is essentially a tweaked version of the Ryzen 5 5600X3D. It features 6 cores, 12 threads of Zen 3 architecture, and a whopping 96MB of L3 cache, which makes a big difference in performance in games. The difference lies in the clock speed, with a base of 3.0 GHz and a boost of 4.0 GHz.

However, there is one regret. AMD confirmed that the Ryzen 5 5500X3D is exclusive to the Latin American market. This is a strategic move to fill a market gap in regions with economies that need high-performance products at affordable prices. This also means that gamers in Vietnam and many other regions will have difficulty purchasing this CPU model through official distribution channels.

The official price has not been announced yet, but experts predict it will fall around 150-200 USD (about 3.9 - 5.2 million VND).
