“A good season would be top five. I hope we can reach that position at the end of the season because the fans deserve it from us,” striker Amad Diallo said ahead of the 2025-2026 season set to kick off next month.

The Red Devils finished 15th last season, their lowest position in the Premier League. This summer, coach Ruben Amorim is determined to reform the squad by pushing out stars who are not in his plans.
Marcus Rashford has been loaned to Barcelona by Manchester United with an option to sell permanently to the Nou Camp. Antony and Alejandro Garnacho are also expected to leave Old Trafford as Amorim looks to build a cohesive and confident squad.
This summer, Man Utd recruited striker Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5 million. In addition, the Old Trafford team also spent £71 million to have the service of Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo to improve the quality of the attack.
"They have to be patient with us. The team has a new coach, new players and new tactics.
We know last season was not really good for the team, but this season, we will win a lot with him and I hope this season we will achieve a lot of good results. Everyone supports the coach and tries to follow his system," striker Amad Diallo expressed.

Notably, talking about new signing Bryan Mbeumo (who will fly to the US with Man Utd to attend the Premier League summer tournament on July 27), Amad Diallo expressed: "Of course I'm looking forward to playing with him. We need good players in the team, who can bring something to the final third of the field.
We are really happy to have them in the squad and I hope we can all come together to give something to the fans at the end of the season because they deserve it."
