Alcaraz overcomes round 1 at Queen's Club, Sinner excels at Halle Open

(Dan Tri) - Carlos Alcaraz struggled to defeat Walton in the opening match of the Queen's Club Championships 2025 while Jannik Sinner showed his strength at the Halle Open 2025.

In the first round of the 2025 ATP 500 Queen's Club Championships in England on the evening of June 17, Carlos Alcaraz faced world No. 86 Walton. In the first set, Alcaraz broke his opponent's serve in game 7 after the two players continuously fought and ended the set with a 6-4 victory.

In set 2, Walton played with determination, not allowing Alcaraz to break his serve, forcing both sides to go to a tie-break.

In this series, Alcaraz showed his class when he won 7-4, thereby winning a ticket to the second round of the Queen's Club Championships 2025 with a final victory of 6-4, 7-6. Alcaraz's next opponent is fellow Spaniard Jaume Munar.

At the ATP 500 Halle Open tournament taking place in Germany in the early morning of June 18, world number one tennis player Jannik Sinner faced home player Yannick Hanfmann, ranked 138th in the world.

The German player was accurate in his serves and made Sinner struggle with his drop shots. However, with his class, Sinner won the first set 7-5, making his opponent lose confidence.

In the second set, Jannik Sinner dominated, not giving Yannick Hanfmann many chances and won with a score of 6-3. In the second round, the Italian player faced Alexander Bublik. This year's Halle Open has the participation of many other stars such as Medvedev, Zverev and Rublev.
