Shared vision for sustainable agricultural development

With the participation of more than 80 delegates from businesses, industry associations, research institutes, universities and leading experts from Vietnam and Australia, the Conference marked an important step forward in the journey of promoting high-tech agricultural cooperation between the two countries. AgriS plays a key role in connecting and promoting cooperation initiatives between the parties, especially in the field of smart and sustainable agriculture.

Queensland has long been recognized as one of the world’s leading agricultural science hubs, with its diverse climate, fertile soils and outstanding research and development capabilities. Meanwhile, Vietnam’s Tay Ninh province, as an important agricultural production hub in the South, is gradually emerging as one of the region’s high-tech agricultural hubs.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Minh Lam, Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee emphasized: "Tay Ninh wishes to learn from Australia's advanced agriculture experience, especially in the fields of water resource management, modern farming technology and sustainable development strategy. Our goal is to develop a green, smart and circular agricultural model, bringing added value to agricultural products and improving people's lives".

AgriS is a high-tech bridge between Australia and Southeast Asia

AgriS is one of the leading high-tech agricultural corporations in Vietnam, headquartered in Tay Ninh, aiming to become the leading high-tech agricultural solution provider in the region. The company participates deeply in the global food value chain through the development of a circular trade value chain model, integrating three technology pillars: Agricultural technology (Agtech) - Food technology (Foodtech) - Financial technology (Fintech) on the ESG platform.

Since 2022, AgriS has made strategic investments in Queensland and established extensive partnerships with the Queensland Department of Primary Industries (DPI) and Queensland Trade and Investment (TIQ), along with the state's agritech ecosystem.

AgriS is undertaking collaborative research and technology transfer projects with leading Queensland partners such as Farmacist and Mort&Co. These projects aim to promote circular agriculture, improve soil health and promote sustainability. AgriS and GMA are also undertaking collaborative projects with AgroVision AG and Main Engineering, with the aim of developing advanced agricultural technologies such as drone farming and fertilizer production from agricultural waste.

These cooperations are expected to promote the development of high-tech agriculture, while expanding connections between Vietnam and Australia, as well as with countries in the Southeast Asian region.

Sustainable Development Platform

AgriS not only focuses on agricultural production but also aims to build a sustainable development platform, add value to agricultural products and create a circular, equitable and sustainable agricultural ecosystem. These initiatives will help ensure food security and promote sustainable economic growth for both countries.

Ms. Dang Huynh Uc My, Chairwoman of AgriS Board of Directors, shared: "AgriS not only affirms its leading position in the field of high-tech agriculture, but also commits to playing the role of a strategic bridge in promoting agricultural cooperation between Vietnam and Australia, with the goal of implementing a "5-house" cooperation model based on three pillars: AgTech, FoodTech and FinTech. We wish to develop a smart, sustainable agriculture and create long-term value for the community."

With a favorable investment environment and supportive policies from local authorities, Tay Ninh is gradually becoming a high-tech agricultural center in the region. Projects such as AgriS’s high-tech farm in Tay Ninh will contribute to the development of sustainable agriculture, create job opportunities and improve people’s lives.

The High-Tech Agriculture Promotion Conference between Tay Ninh and Queensland is a testament to the close cooperation between the two countries in developing high-tech and sustainable agriculture. AgriS, as a strategic bridge, will continue to promote research cooperation, technology transfer and agricultural product development, while contributing to building a sustainable agricultural ecosystem, contributing to the socio-economic development of both Vietnam and Australia.
