71 students were trained to preserve and promote the art of performing the Mong ethnic Khen dance - Cao Bang Electronic Newspaper

From August 22 to 24, the Department of Culture of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize a training course on preserving and promoting the art of performing Mong ethnic panpipe dance for 71 Mong ethnic artisans and students living in the province.

At the training course, trainees were informed and provided with information about: The Party and State's policies on preserving and promoting traditional culture of ethnic minorities; the role and significance of the panpipe art of the Mong people; the importance of preserving and promoting the art of panpipe dancing and making Mong panpipes; and skills to pass on Mong panpipe knowledge.

Artists and students are instructed in practicing the art of Khen dancing, such as: how to breathe, practice breathing, Khen blowing techniques combined with Khen dancing...; good practices in opening classes to teach the young generation in the locality; practicing live performances of Khen blowing and Khen dancing.

The training course is a practical activity to effectively implement Project No. 6 on "Preserving and promoting fine traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development" under the National Target Program on socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021 - 2030.
